Why bears?
Bears have been around us for centuries and have protected us from above in the form of ursae majoris pointing the way for travellers, stargazers and nature dwellers for as long as people have looked at the stars.
On earth they have inspired folk tales, comforted us when we’re upset and invoked fear and inspiration.
The combination of up and above and below allows the imagination to explore and draws one in.
Bearfuss utilises this iconography as a teaching aid and as means to express and have fun whilst leaning at the same time.
