Bearfuss uses artistic and traditional woodland skills/crafts to bring art and environmental education into your school or home or even your party.
We use bears and mushrooms as teaching aids, allowing children and adults to interact with nature in their own hands and even have something to take home!
Environmental art education has been a great success in Finland and Scandinavia. For over 20 years this method has allowed people to interact with the physical and the mythical aspects of environmental education (artistic-aesthetic learning). Allowing for further expression and an alternative teaching method.
Through conscious training in the senses, the predominent cultural and personal stereotypes are decoded, not only does the participant´s perception becomes very different, but also their articulation of given subject or task.
Making art is a way of learning in itself and is complimentary with other teaching methods.
We at bearfuss have worked with charitable organisations, indigenous foresters, artist and educational establishments all across Scandinavia and Europe to provide you with an experience you won’t forget!
Teaching experiences for Schools, Groups and Individuals in Austria, Finland, Germany, Scotland, England, Denmark since 2004. Registered and ESL accredited.
